Fall has arrived with cooler temperatures, wind and rain/sleet, and also a few minutes of sunshine after the rain, and that was all this afternoon. I am glad the house is dry and warm inside, and the furnace works.
We had a great weekend having Aidan, Regan and Olivia overnight on Friday, while Brett and Roxanne went to Dearborn for a wedding. On Saturday evening we went to friends for dinner with with 4 other couples, and had a great time. Sunday morning we went to East Leonard CRC to hear Rev. Eric Scheering preach. He is now a missionary in Papua New Guinea, with Pacific Island Ministries. It was a great service, and Penny( Eric's wife) showed slides and narrated during the offering, which was very informative.
Gord was back today, and finished both bathroom cabinets and the counter top on the guest bath. He then cut back the wall in to the new den, which opened up the area, and made it so much more usable. While Gord was sawing through the wall, I called my friend, Nella to ask if she would let me spend some time with her, while the carnage was occuring. Thankfully she said she was free, and it was so good to get out of the house for an hour.
This evening Everett is tearing up the kitchen floor, and it is much more complicated than it sounds, because there are staples every where. It is a very tedious and miserable job.
Tomorrow I will be spending some time watching Emma for a few hours.
