It was a wonderful day. I stayed home all day, and just worked around the house, starting to put things together again. I worked mostly in the master bath and guest bath, by washing all the cabinets and polishing the wood cabinets in the master bath. They look so nice. Now I can put some things in their new home.
Tom Boersma from our church, is also the electrical inspector, and he showed up at the door this morning to check things out. When he left I could not use the outlets in the bathroom, so he did something I could not figure out; even checked the breaker box!!
Gord Hulst showed up and we put the frames of the mirrors up to see how they would fit. A little adjustment was needed for the one mirror. Now the one needs painting, and the other one stain to match the cabinets.
The plumber showed up and had to take out the old pipes to our old washing machine, and then change some faucets. He had his share of frustration with the one faucet, but finally finished up the job. It is just great to get the details finished. ( Know anyone who needs a free washer or dryer for getting it out of here? They both work. )
Everett got home about 4:30 and after he read the paper, we went to Lowell to Keiser's and had their baked cod dinner. Yummy! On the way home we stopped at Ace Hardware to pick up some finishing nails, and then had to put gas in Everett's car.
Everett put up all the switch plates, and furnace registers and plowed the 3" of snow off the driveway. Time to sit down and relax.
