The trip is planned

First off, the special event of the day is Elton's 41st birthday. Sorry Elton, you weren't keeping it a secret were you?? Happy Birthday to you, and many more in good health with those you love.

I am washing, ironing and packing again. Seems to be the routine lately. This is not an easy trip for me to make, and I covet every prayer for our family, and safe travel for everyone. I am so thankful that my sister in law Donna's sister, Norma Lubben from Holland has agreed to come with me. We will leave early tomorrow morning, and travel as far as we are comfortable with. Mom's condition is pretty much the same. She can communicate, and seems to be resting comfortably. She can not swallow yet, so that is a problem.

Yesterday was a wonderful day of rest, and good to be in church again. Later in the afternoon, we went to Joel and Brenda and spent time with them and Brett and Roxanne and the kids. It was so good to see all of them again. Joel and Brenda prepared a great dinner with salmon, chicken and hot dogs on the grill as well as green beans, potato wedges, salads. It was great. We had dessert later.

Well, on to the packing.
