I have returned

It has been quite a ride the last few weeks, but we are home again.

Mom was moved into the Corsica Nursing Home on Friday the 13th. She has adjusted well, even though she has not been so happy with the pureed food. I am sure it is the best that can be done, but it is a far cry from the meals that Mom cooked!!
Brett, Aidan, Regan, Olivia and Everett arrived the 14th and it was so good to see them. It was good for Mom to see them too, and she was showered with pictures that the kids had made to hang on the walls in her room.

She is in the special unit yet, as that was the only room available, but should be moved into another room with in the week. She will then have a room mate. Everett, Brett and the kids and I emptied Mom's room at Leisure Living on Mon. the 16th, which went well with all the help. It was a sad day as it was a very happy home for Mom the last 3 1/2 years. She will be missed by the residents as she enjoyed life, and loved helping out whenever she could.

Now we are back, and trying to get things in order here, and pick up where we left off.
We ask for your prayers for Mom for healing, and continued improvements in her swallowing, so she can enjoy normal liquids, instead of all her liquids thickened to honey consistency. Pray too that she will not get the pain in her hip/leg on the left side. It appears to be the sciatic nerve, and it is very painful as she can not move to relieve the pain. We hope that since we stopped the PT and OT that it will not be aggravated.
