It is just about a week ago that I last posted, and I am sorry for the delay, but it has been very busy.
I arrived in SD about 6:30 Tuesday evening, after a very qood uneventful and quick trip, I was looking for ward to seeing Mom, even though I was also dreading it. I was not sure what she would look like, and it is hard to see those you love, suffer. It went better than I expected, and I know that the Lord was holding my hand during the whole day.
Mom has made some good progress since Wed. She can swallow which was a big hurdle, because she needed to eat in order to stay alive. She has been eating pureed food, and drinking thickened liquids, and doing better every day. She has her sense of humor and that has kept everyone laughing. She does not have much feeling on her left side yet, but her face has good sensation, and she reacts to touch on her feet.
I am staying with Everett's sister and husband, and they are 15 miles from the hospital, so it is very convenient. I have been getting good rest at night for which I am thankful, as a day in the hospital is exhausting.
Glenn left today for home, in Pella Iowa, and it was so treat to have him here the first week.
I will try to be more faithful in reporting on this blog.
Please pray for all of us.

It's good to hear you are holding up well and that your mother is making good progress. Tending a sick parent is exhausting....emotionally and physically. God's grace to you in abundance.
